Ho hum

Not much to say today I'm afraid. Just wanted to upload this LO, which is a scraplift of a very similar LO in Scrapbook Trends November issue.
Been doing a few scraplifts lately, not sure if it's lack of inspiration, enthusiasm or time or a combination of all three. Oh well, I have this week off work and as well as doing a lot of errands and trips out I plan to fit in some serious scrapping too. I have so much to catch up on!

Bye for now.

Almost forgot!

This is a LO I've done of my niece for my sister. It goes in a lovely 12x12 beech box frame and will look fab in their new home. It's a scraplift of a fantastic LO by scrappyfairy on UKS, go check out her gallery, you will be so inspired.

Back soon.

It's coming along nicely...

... my mum's album that is, full of pictures and LOs of my grandad. I've done 9 now I think, but must keep going to fill the album. Only one month left to go before her birthday. Here are the ones I've done so far (some are scraplifts, I will round up the credits and add later):

I've got so much other stuff on now, including a mini album of my son and niece, a Valentine's album for dh, my 365 photos, journalling and LO, my A-Z, the Elsie challenges and another album I can't tell you about yet (all in good time hopefully). I'm just about keeping up, but I could do with a few more hours in the day!

Best get back to it, see you soon. :)

First week down...

... and I'm still keeping on top of the challenges I've taken on this year. I'm finding the journalling sometimes easy, sometimes difficult, but I'm enjoying it and realise it's something I need to do for myself as well as for my family.

I've also done my first weekly LO, as you can see, about the 10 goals I want to aim for this year. I'm no doubt being a bit ambitious, but as someone once famously said, aim for the moon - even if you miss you'll be among the stars. I like that quote.
I've also decided to stand down from the design team I'm on. I was honoured to take part but the team is downsizing, and my commitment hasn't been 100% lately because of everything I have going on, so now seems like the right time for me to focus on those other things and just go back to scrapping when I can find the enthusiasm and time.

Right, best get on, need to do my daily photo and get some sleep ready for an early start tomorrow.

Bye for now.

Keeping on top of my deadlines

Well I'm doing well so far and have been keeping on top of the challenges I signed up for. I've done all six prompts and photos for the 365 challenge so far (and I'm looking forward to tomorrow's LO prompt). I've made my A-Z art journal covers and completed the first letter, even though the challenge has only just started and there's a two-week turnaround. And I've also done the first Elsie challenge, which I tied in with my A-Z double LO.

I've re-done my 365 journalling notebook cover, well I had no choice after my son pulled the numbers and letters off. Think I actually prefer this version though (don't tell him that mind!)

I'll post the photos I've taken each week, seven in one go, otherwise I'll be spending all evening on the Internet and none getting any scrapping done, and all my good intentions will quickly disappear!
Bye for now. :)

Journalling my 2008

Well my journalling for the 365 days challenge is well underway, and I'm up-to-date with my photos (almost), so today I've altered the thick notebook I'm using to write my thoughts on each prompt.

The book was a Christmas present from my friend Erika (thanks hun, it's perfect!) and I've just added some foam numbers and Chitter Chatter letters painted with black paint or silver glitter glue.

Just hope it lasts the duration!

Bye for now.

Another month, I know.

Has it really been more than a month since my last update? The time just flies and with me being so forgetful and unorganised (aka busy!) it's not surprising it's been a while again. We're currently trying to sell our home and getting it ready for
But it's now 2008, it's a new year and a new start and to kick-start my scrapping again I've signed up to not one, but three challenges.
These are:

This is using a prompt every day to take a photograph and journal my thoughts, and then completing one LO each week from the photos and journalling. I've only just started but have almost caught up, I'm just a bit stuck on today's, which is about imperfections. I have so many, but I'm not sure what exactly I want to say.

This is about completing an art journal with one page every 2 weeks, one for each letter of the alphabet. Mine will be a Book of Me to leave to my son one day, but if I can find time I'd also like to do one about his personality, which hasn't been the subject of a lot of my scrapping so far and I'm afraid of him growing up so fast and these memories being forgotten.

* 52 Scrapbooking Challenges (see UKS)

Again, this will challenge me to complete the challenges set in Elsie Flannigan's popular book, one each week. I love this book and have been meaning to have a go at a few challenges for ages, and this will really get me back at my desk and thinking outside of my box - or at least that's the plan!

Wish me luck!
